Branded Career Communications is not a personal branding training program. Certified Get Clear, Get Found, Get Hired! Coach is a program that takes personal branding into the next generation of careering – that of branded value as the foundation to success in a chaotic Web 2.0+ marketplace. We will discuss branding concepts, and provide 360 Reach certification training (with a Branded Career Communications focus) early in the course as a foundation to these pioneering concepts, but in-depth brand discovery will not be covered. We leave that to the experts at Reach Personal Branding and highly recommend their Certified Personal Brand Strategist training. It’s the gold standard.
What does it do?
Get Clear, Get Found, Get Hired! delivers a consistent power-packed core value message across multiple channels and documents – from the Web, to resumes and other career documents, to pitches, to video, and more – in the concise, magnetic short-form style increasingly preferred by busy hiring managers, recruiters, and networking contacts.
Today the resume is no-longer a first strike document – by the time a recruiter or decision maker has seen the resume, they’ve already done a Google search, reviewed a Linked in Profile, checked FaceBook and Twitter, and more.
If your clients are not landing, it may be that they are relying on just a resume to make their mark.
Branded Career Communications fills the gap a resume alone can no longer fill – the gap between personal branding and on-line identity – with a fresh, new, critical communication strategy, and suite of documents and oral communication that traditional resumes can’t meet.
It doesn’t replace the resume, but it does rework it into a more powerful and streamlined document. We “meet” from the comfort of home/office via telephone bridge line for 10 weeks, for 1.5 hours each week. Total class hours are 15. No special computer technology is required, although it is highly recommended that you have a computer for downloading the course materials and receiving email. For your comfort, we recommend that you purchase a good quality telephone headset. You may want to use a telephone that is not dependent on a battery charge.
In addition to class-time hours, you will likely need to spend between one to two hours each week for reading pre-class material. Participants from other certification programs report spending additional time implementing new coaching and marketing concepts learned in class (e.g., revising their web site to include job search coaching services; writing value statements to articulate the return-on-investment that coaching clients receive; setting aside “think” time to envision the direction they’d like to take their business, etc.) – and we expect this will be the case for the Certified Get Clear, Get Found, Get Hired! Program as well.
