The Academies is pleased to introduce our newest bright light and Coaching Curriculum Administrator, Jessica Burdett. We are thrilled to welcome her to the team and we’re excited for you to get to know her. Read her story below to learn more about her and her passion for helping others grow and thrive through coaching.
Jessica’s Early Passion for Coaching
As a teenager, Jessica wrote that her purpose was to “help people overcome obstacles and learn to see their challenges as opportunities to grow.” When she found a definition of coaching, she knew the direction she wanted to go!
Jessica’s Coaching Experience
Jessica coaches individuals and teams to be authentic and healthy leaders in her private coaching practice. Historically, she has developed training and leadership coaching programs for a construction-manufacturing startup and worked with a non-profit, developing communication, leadership, and peacemaking. She has trained and coached international teams in the U.S. and Singapore.
She gravitates toward working with startups and culture-driven organizations. She has worked closely with executives in Human Resources and Training, Culture and Organizational Development, and Learning and Leadership Development.
Jessica’s Education, Approach, and Continuous Learning
Jessica holds a B.S. in Psychology, is an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC), and is certified as a Conscious Business Coach with BetterUp. She is often found researching developmental, personality, and positive psychology as a pastime, rooting her coaching in constant learning.
She is currently based in Birmingham, Alabama, with her husband and young daughter. More often than not, Jessica can be found exploring the world. She has visited all 50 states and 16 countries, building a rich global community who have expanded her perspective and love of intensely flavorful foods. She loves to find the best coffee shops, hike for a view, or sit in a rocking chair with a good Sci-fi novel.
We’re Thrilled to Welcome Jessica to The Academies!
As Coaching Curriculum Administrator with The Academies, Jessica continues to build on her history of helping transform big ideas into sustainable training systems by supporting Susan with curriculum development. Jessica, we’re so glad you’re here and we’re excited to see all the amazing ways you will enrich our coaching curriculum and our students with your passion for, experience in, and dedication to coaching, learning, and growth.
