Tell Us About Your Experience With The Academies Leadership Coaching Program

My experience with The Academies was, quite honestly, more impactful than I expected. While I expected a high-quality and professional experience, I did not fully expect the materials provided to be so comprehensive and the learnings so accessible, even to someone who had minimal previous coaching experience.

How Does Neuroscience Influence Your Coaching Style?

Being able to explain to clients and colleagues a scientific reason backed by data for why certain things are important and why the brain works the way it does, has been invaluable to me. Understanding all of this myself also helps me quickly identify behaviors and non-verbal signals that my coaching clients may not even realize they themselves are exhibiting, ultimately allowing me to help them destress and reframe before they even reach a negative tipping point.

Would You Recommend Our Programs To Others?

This program not only guides participants in how to coach through its fail-proof framework, it explains why it works and gives participants plenty of opportunity to test it out in a safe space and receive constructive feedback at the same time.

What’s A Memorable Win You’d Like To share?

In all honesty, at first I was a little stressed out by the framework, initially thinking it was something I needed to memorize, which I don’t do well. I work in concepts and understanding big-picture goals. Very quickly, however, I realized that the framework is an explanation of what to accomplish in a session, not a prescription of exactly what to say or how/when to say it. There’s a lot of freedom in the framework as a guide, and realizing that was a huge lightbulb moment for me. A big win was when I realized that you don’t always have to have the perfect question for a client, you just need to know how to ask the questions based on what THEY are telling you (or not telling you). It’s ok to ask a question that doesn’t have any major impact on the client, because that in itself is information for which direction to go next.

What Have Clients Said About Your Coaching?

How I will feel successful after this meeting with you is how I feel right now:

– I have a few action items I can begin working on/using now.

I just needed to be asked some great questions to be able to see the situation from a different perspective.

– I have been heard and acknowledged.

I always feel good after working with you and talking to you, so thank you!”
