Tell Us About Your Experience With The Academies Leadership & Career Coaching Program
When I decided to become an executive & career coach, I wanted a coaching education that had instructors with in-depth experience and practical wisdom applicable to the increased uncertainty my clients are facing. How Has Coaching Influenced You?
Coaching has deeply influenced my leadership & management style as well as my holistic personal habits. As a senior tech executive and lawyer, I learned that the strongest results from both individuals and teams are rooted in supporting leaders with meaningful coaching conversations. Coaching is often the missing ingredient to unlock the highest potential in individual contributors and teams facing uncertainty. This is especially true now because many of my clients have degrees & education that simply did not anticipate the complexity & rapid pace of change leaders face today. Coaching has also been incredibly impactful in my personal life to achieve the highest level of self awareness and confident mindset to approach life’s greatest challenges.
How Does Neuroscience Influence Your Coaching Style?
Neuroscience is often the missing link behind the “why” people do “what” they do. Whenever my clients are feeling the most stuck, my day-to-day coaching experience has taught me that the most fascinating secrets to the path forward can be found in neuroscience-based fundamentals. I have also found science-based neuroscience techniques help leaders feel more empowered because once they learn how to tap into the techniques, the methods are repeatable to the countless career challenges they face.
What’s A Memorable Win You’d Like To share?
One of my clients came to me because he was landing first interviews but was failing to land roles because of his final interview style. We partnered together to address his confidence issues – which he said had been shattered by struggling to land a job – and strategically target opportunities for improvement in his interviewing style. After only two coaching sessions, he was able to land his dream job at a top AI company.
One of my clients was a general counsel at a tech company, but was being sidelined by the CEO who had a different agenda. She came to me knowing she wanted to change roles and potential industries, but was overwhelmed by “paralysis” regarding what to do next. As her coaching sessions unfolded, she rediscovered her strengths and deepest passions. After only a handful of sessions, she was able to pivot to a more mission-driven organization that was more in line with her newly defined values.
Would You Recommend Our Programs To Others?
Absolutely. Courses with The Academies provide both the necessary training in coaching fundamentals as well as the practical expertise to both begin coaching without any experience or significantly grow a coach’s expertise.
