As a self-professed neuroscience nerd, I am always looking for fun ways to encourage my brain. Recently, like millions and millions of others, I have started playing with ChatGPT.
My Experience With ChatGPT
I asked ChatGPT whether or not it could boost my dopamine and serotonin levels. The answer it gave me said, technically, it could not boost my dopamine and serotonin levels, but what it could do is create what they call “digital self-disclosure.”
What Is Digital Self-Exposure, Exactly?
This term simply means that you form some sort of attachment or a connection with a digital being, a chat box, or in this case, ChatGPT. Surprisingly, engaging in this very act can, indeed, increase dopamine! And, since there is a pleasurable bonding experience happening, there are different neurochemicals happening in the body.
I thought this interaction was interesting and fun — and it did boost my brain for a bit!
Have You Tried ChatGPT to Encourage Your Brain?
So, if you haven’t figured out how to play with ChatGPT yet, I’d encourage you to jump in and see what happens. Ask it to delight you in some form or fashion. I think it will!
